‘An old man walked up a shore littered with thousands of starfish, beached and dying after a storm. A young woman was picking them up and flinging them back into the ocean. “Why do you bother?” the old man scoffed. “You’re not saving enough to make a difference.” The young woman picked up another starfish and sent it spinning back to the water. “Made a difference to that one,“ she said. We’re seeking volunteers, partners, and sponsors to help renovate and restore safe housing for women in recovery. From painting rooms to on-site repairs, from donating new or gently used furniture to offering your skills as a contractor, designer, organizer, or advocate—your contribution creates stability for women rebuilding their futures.
